Steven R. Leibowitz, CPA, CVA

Steve joined the firm in January of 1996 after managing his own independent practice for over five years. Prior to starting his own practice, Steve had previous experience with a national accounting firm.

His expertise is in real estate development and management, general business consulting, and operations management for closely held businesses, litigation support and forensic accounting services.

Steve received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Bentley College in 1983, and holds a Masters of Science Degree in Taxation from the University of Hartford. In addition to being a certified public accountant, Steve is certified as a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA). He is a member of the American   Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.

Michael R. Blezard, CPA/ABV, CVA
Partner

Mike joined the firm in 2002 and has previous experience with both national and regional accounting firms.

His expertise is in general business consulting, operations management, business valuations for closely held businesses and litigation support. His areas of concentration are the construction, manufacturing, not-for-profit, retail, and service industries.

Mike received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Central Connecticut State University in 1986. In addition to being a certified public accountant, Mike is certified as a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA). He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.

Partner

Mike joined the firm in July of 2013 after managing his own independent practice for over ten years. Prior to managing his own practice, Mike had previous experience with a national accounting firm in both corporate and international taxation.

His expertise is in tax and estate planning and compliance serving a wide range of clients, including financial institutions, manufacturing, service industries, real estate and high-net-worth individuals.

Mike received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Boston University in 1994, and holds a Juris Doctor degree from The Catholic University of America, and a Master of Laws in Taxation from Boston University.  He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Connecticut Bar Association.

Mark R. Barzottini, CPA
Partner

Mark joined the firm in January 2016 after 17 years with a regional accounting firm.  Prior to this he had managed his own firm for over 14 years. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. Mark has been in Public Accounting for 30+ years and has experience with audits, reviews, compilations, and tax. Mark is a member and officer of several local civic organizations.

Mark is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Ann Burnett

Senior Manager

Ann has over 30 years of experience in public and private accounting. She joins us from Corning, Inc./Stran Technologies where she previously was the Plant Controller, and prior to that the CFO/Controller for Stran Technologies. Prior to working for Corning, Inc../Stran Technologies, Ann had served as a Manager for PCLB for seven years and previously owned her own CPA Firm.

Jeff Myshrall, CPA
Manager

Jeff joined the firm in December 2016 and has previous experience with a regional accounting firm specializing in audit.

Jeff’s expertise is in audits, reviews and compilations of financial statements and individual and business taxation. His areas of concentration are the not-for-profit, construction, real estate and employee benefit plan industries.

Jackie joined the firm in January 2011 and has over 10 years of experience in public accounting.

Jackie’s expertise is in audits, reviews and compilations of financial statements and single audits. Her areas of concentration are the not-for-profit, government and real estate industries.

Jackie received her Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Vermont. She is an affiliate member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Jeremy Brayer, CPA
Manager

Jeremy joined the firm in July 2018 and has previous experience with a regional accounting firm specializing in audit.

Jeremy’s expertise is in audit, reviews and compilations of financial statements for a wide range of industries including not-for-profit, healthcare, manufacturing and distribution, real estate and professional service firms. He also specializes in auditing and consulting of defined benefit and defined contribution plans, including 401(k), 403(b) and other retirement and pension plan compliance audits.

Jeremy received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with majors in accounting and finance from the University of Rhode Island and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants. He also serves on the Board of Directors and on the Finance Committee of MARCH, Inc. of Manchester.

Megan Genovese
Staff Accountant

Megan joined the firm in November 2017. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Central Connecticut State University. Before joining the firm Megan spent two years in private accounting. Megan has been gaining experience in accounting, audit and taxation. She is currently studying for the CPA exam.

Andrew Inman
Staff Accountant

Andrew joined the firm in November 2017. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Central Connecticut State University. Andrew has been gaining experience in accounting, audit, business valuation & taxation. He is currently studying for the CPA exam.

Jennifer Simmons

Office Manager

Jen joined the firm in 2011 as the Office Manager. Previously she worked as an Office Manager for 8 years in a locally owned and operated real estate office and for a short time in an attorneys office in West Hartford.

Jen received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with a concentration in Photography from UConn in May of 2003. She spends much of her spare time volunteering as an EMT/Firefighter.

Dawn Gaylord
Office Administrator

Dawn joined the firm in January of 2019 as an Office Administrator.  Previously, Dawn had worked in human resources for a local tree company.

Dawn received a Bachelors of Communications with a minor in Computer Science from Southern Connecticut State University in 1991. She also has multiple teaching and training certificates through the Department of the Army. Dawn has lived all around the country and internationally following her husband's 26 year military career. She also has three daughters and currently calls Tolland, CT home.

Fiona Shaw-Mumford
Administrative Assistant

Fiona joined the firm in February of 2019 as an Administrative assistant.  She has previous experience doing clerical work as a receptionist for a dental office in Manchester.

Fiona graduated from UConn in May of 2015 with a BFA in Design and Technical Theatre.  She then proceeded to work as a scenic artist, costume designer and wardrobe technician for a range of theatrical productions as well as film and television shows.  She now continues to use these skills for fun in her spare time.
