Steven R. Leibowitz, CPA, CFFA Candidate
Steve joined the firm in January of 1996 after managing his own independent practice for over five years. Prior to starting his own practice, Steve had previous experience with a national accounting firm.
His expertise is in real estate development and management, general
business
consulting, and operations management for closely held businesses, litigation
support and forensic accounting services.
Steve received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Bentley College in 1983, and holds a Masters of Science Degree in Taxation from the University of Hartford. In addition to being a certified public accountant, Steve is currently being certified as a Certified Forensic Financial Analyst (CFFA). He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.
Michael R. Blezard, CPA/ABV, CVA
Mike joined the firm in 2002 and has previous experience with both national
and regional accounting firms.
His expertise is in general business consulting, operations management,
business valuations for closely held businesses and litigation support.
His areas of concentration are the construction, manufacturing, not-for-profit,
retail, and service industries.
Mike received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Central Connecticut State University in 1986. In addition to being a certified public accountant, Mike is a certified valuation analyst. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts, and the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
John C. A. Chick, CPA - Consultant
John joined the firm in 1961, received his certification in 1966, and became a principal in 1968. John retired effective January 1, 2010, but has remained with the firm as a consultant.
His expertise is in business consulting, tax planning and estate planning, as well as compliance in income taxes, estate taxes and probate accounting. He serves clients in real estate, construction, retail, wholesale, manufacturing and many service industries.
John received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut in 1964 and graduated at the top of his class in his major. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Robert J. Pue, CPA, (1920 - 2008)
Bob founded the firm in 1955 and retired December 31, 2005.
Lisa A. Lillis, CPA, CIC
Lisa joined the firm in 2006 after selling her accounting practice she started in 1990. Prior to starting her own practice, Lisa worked for regional and local accounting firms.
Her expertise is in personal and tax planning, trust and estate services. She serves clients in the construction and service industries. Lisa received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut in 1983. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, she is a Certified Insurance Consultant.
Ann M. Burnett, CPA
Ann joined the firm in 2006 after selling her accounting practice she co-founded in 1994. Prior to starting her own practice, Ann worked in retail and for a regional accounting firm.
Ann received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Central Connecticut State University. In addition to being a Certified Public Accountant, she is a Certified Quickbooks Advisor.
Gayle E. Cvengros
Gayle joined the firm in 2007 and has 12 years experience in the insurance industry. Gayle has worked on Sarbanes Oxley compliance testing and implementation. Gayle's expertise is in data analysis.
Areas of concentration will be Auditing and Taxation. Gayle received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Central Connecticut State University. Gayle is a pledge of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Caroline S. Colket
Caroline joined the firm in 2009. Caroline began her accounting career at a regional public accounting firm in June 2008.
Caroline received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut in 2008. Caroline is a CPA Candidate of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a pledge of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants. Caroline has successfully passed all four parts of the uniform CPA exam.
Ricky A. Frimpong, CPA
Ricky joined the firm in 2009 as an Audit Manager and has over six years of Public Accounting experience with both international and regional accounting firms.
Ricky received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. He is a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
